Looking outside the window, I see a woman whose back is turned to me, hunched over, working quickly and diligently with her hands. I can’t see what she’s doing but in my mind she’s a South African woman who, in her latter years, started making jewelry and she’s working, excitedly, on a new design idea that came to her in last night’s dream. The piece is elaborate, colorful, intricately detailed and tells a wondrous story. Once finished, the hand-crafted jewelry will be a wedding gift to her soon-to-be-wed granddaughter who will cherish it forever and perhaps pass down to her daughter. As it turns out, the lady was just filing her nails. But it was fun creating that story in my mind. Never stop using your imagination!
