love&loss

Today we commemorate the loss of one of the greatest men this country has ever known, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Throughout his quest for peace and equality among all people, the underlying message was always the same, love. On April 4, 1968, though his life was cut short, his message of love lived on. Amidst all the rallies and resurgences, battles and boycotts, arrests and absence, Dr. King’s love for his wife, family, and most importantly the calling on his life, never waned. If we’ve learned nothing else from his life, we should take away his faith that love conquers all.
